Dillon Ingle – Tuscola High School Director of Bands

Dillon Scott Ingle was raised in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and graduated from Kings Mountain High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Western Carolina University in 2008. While at WCU, he studied under Dr. Mario Gaetano, Bob Buckner, and Matt Henley, and was drum captain with the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band.

Mr. Ingle began his professional teaching career in Brownsville, Texas where he spent three years, followed by two years in San Benito, Texas. For five years as an assistant director, his duties included working with concert, symphonic and marching bands, as well as overseeing the percussion program of each school.

In 2010, he became a co-founder of Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps from Austin, Texas. For five years, Mr. Ingle served as the Percussion Caption Head, where he both taught and helped facilitate the summer tour.

Mr. Ingle moved back to North Carolina in 2013 to continue his education, and completed his M.A in Music Education in 2015. As a Graduate Assistant at WCU, he conducted the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. West, the Symphony Band under the direction of David Starnes, and the Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Gaetano.

Mr. Ingle was the Assistant Band Director at Tuscola from August 2015 through May 2022. In July 2022, Mr. Ingle became Director of Bands at Tuscola.
